Fidias Reyes, M.P.A., named Director of Arts Engagement in the UNCW Office of the Arts

We are thrilled to announce that Fidias Reyes, M.P.A., has accepted the position of Director of Arts Engagement in the Office of the Arts. UNCW's Office of the Arts is committed to bringing high quality performing art productions and educational programming to Wilmington and our surrounding region. Fidias Reyes is the leader to do just that.

In her time at UNCW as the Artist Services & Residency Coordinator, Ms. Reyes demonstrated her wealth of experience and expertise in the arts and cultural arts programming. In her new role as Director of Arts Engagement, she will be leading her team to program UNCW Presents, the Lumina Festival of the Arts, bring in grant opportunities and will continue to collaborate with our arts departments at UNCW to help showcase and promote the incredible programming happening across campus and within our community. Ms. Reyes will work to strengthen UNCW's student engagement in the arts so they have the opportunity to witness, experience, and engage in arts and culture from around the world. Moreover, she is dedicated to keeping our connection with our community strong to support creative expression, promote diversity and inclusion, and to enrich the lives of our community.

I would like to thank the hiring committee and chair Stefanie Norris Mancuso for leading this endeavor.  UNCW is honored to have such a colleague leading our team.

Warmly,
