Student Employment

Student employment is available in two forms: work study and work assistant. The Department normally has one work study student each semester to handle studio cleaning, gallery installations, and some office/receptionist duties. You must already be approved for the federal work study program through the Financial Aid Office in order to apply for the Department's work study opening.

Work assistants are chosen by faculty members to help with needs such as classroom preparation, digital image database slide scanning, exhibit installations, etc. The department normally has two per semester, with an average of four to five hours per week.

Students who are versatile and able to work a variety of tasks, sometimes for more than one faculty/staff supervisor, are especially welcome.
