Adam Fearing Selected as Director of Development for Athletics at UNCW

Adam FearingAdam Fearing has been named Director of Development for Athletics at UNCW. In that role, he serves as executive director of the UNCW Student Aid Association, better known as the Seahawk Club. His responsibilities include a continued focus on membership growth, as well as managing fundraising activities and the club’s day-to-day operations. He reports to Vice Chancellor for Advancement Eddie Stuart.

Adam brings five years of on-the-ground development experience and continued professional growth to his new position, including four years as an integral member of the Seahawk Club staff, where he served as assistant director and, most recently, associate director. He has built a record of relationship building, and a commitment to successful fundraising.

His new duties also include directing donor recognition and stewardship programs and working in collaboration with Stuart and Athletic Director Jimmy Bass to enhance the educational mission of UNCW Athletics.

Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. While at Cincinnati, he walked-on the Bearcats football team and earned a scholarship his senior year. He was a part of two consecutive Big East Championship teams, and was selected as a member of the Big East Conference 2012 All-Academic team. He also holds a Masters of Education in Sports administration from Xavier University.
