CAIC Programs & Initiatives

Hawk eNewsA weekly email publication featuring selected campus programs and events for the following week. It is provided free to all enrolled students and upon request to faculty, staff, and friends of UNCW. As of 2019, Hawk eNews is now mobile-friendly on Instagram at @UNCWHEN. 

Involvement Center is an area in which registered student organizations (RSO) are encouraged to use to conduct business, share ideas, and utilize one another for collaborative opportunities. 

Registered Student Organizations: Begin your involvement journey with by joining one (or more) of 275+ student organizations. The possibilities are endless and if you cannot find a organization that interests you - CAIC will help you start one!

Student Government Association: SGA serves to voice the opinion and uphold the best interests of the general student body. The executive cabinet oversee specific functions such as diverse representation, SGA marketing, communications, and fiscal matters. 

UNCWeekends: A student-led, late night program providing students with on and off-campus alternatives to alcohol and substance use every weekend during the academic year. Traditional events include bingo, midnight bowling, ice skating, and bubble soccer. 

WaveLink: UNCW's Engagement System provides an accessible platform for students to have access to a directory of over 275+ registered student organizations and UNCW departments, and always have upcoming events on-the-go!

UNCWelcome offers over 130+ events in the first few weeks of the fall semester designed to familiarize the incoming first year class with the UNCW community. Students will learn about resources for success, engagement opportunities, and personal wellness. UNCWelcomeBack is a similar program series offered at the start of the spring semester for First Year Student Admits and Transfer students. 

Campus Activities & Involvement is one of many units underneath the comprehensive Campus Life program including Facilities & Business Operations; Conferences, Events, and Reservations; Arts & Programs; and Student Media.
