CAIC Programs & Initiatives

Events: CAIC assists student organizations and campus departments with the planning and execution of hundreds of events year-round, both physical and virtual. CAIC specifically oversees the Fall Into the Dub and Spring Back Into the Dub programming series, Beach Blast, Involvement Carnival, Club Dub, and Dub Awards. 

Hawk eNews: This is a weekly email publication featuring selected campus programs and events for never eught days. It is provided free to all enrolled students and upon request to faculty, staff, and friends of UNCW. As of 2019, the Hawk eNews is now mobile-friendly on Instagram at @UNCWHEN. 

Involvement Center: This is the home for registered student organizations (RSOs) to conduct business, share ideas, and utilize one another for collaborative opportunities. 

Registered Student Organizations: Begin your involvement journey by joining one (or more) of 285+ student organizations. The possibilities are endless and if you cannot find a organization that interests you - CAIC will help you start one!

Student Government Association (SGA): SGA serves as the voice and vision of the student body.  They serve to uphold the interests of the UNCW student body. The executive board oversee specific functions such as diversity advocacy and representation, marketing, communications, and stewardship of the SGA fee and its associated fiscal matters. 

UNCWeekends: This is a student-led, weekend and late night program providing students with on and off-campus events that are an alternative to alcohol and substance use.  UNCWeekends programming is offered throughout the academic year. 

WaveLink: Check out UNCW's engagement portal to access a directory of over 285+ registered student organizations and UNCW departments.  This is another way where students can learn about upcoming events!

Campus Activities & Involvement is one of several units within the comprehensive Campus Life program which also includes Facilities & Business Operations; Conferences, Events, and Reservations; Arts & Programs; and Student Media.
