Program Overview

Leadership Development

Setting yourself apart from others is crucial in the job market. One way for professionals in any field to stand out is by developing strong mentoring and coaching skills.

The coaching and mentoring certificate is a 12 credit-hour graduate program designed to enhance your leadership qualities and skills to effectively mentor and coach individuals in various settings.

Grounded in the latest research in mentoring and coaching, the program provides graduate students (from any discipline) the opportunity to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to be effective mentors, mentees and coaches.

Hands-on Learning

The coaching and mentoring certificate program provides you with a variety of diverse learning opportunities and hands-on experience as well as a field internship. You will learn the principles of mentoring and coaching including

  • how to apply various techniques and strategies,
  • how to develop a coaching or mentoring program for implementation in your profession and
  • how to assess the effectiveness of the coaching or mentoring program.
