Earn B.S. Degrees from UNCW And NC State In 5 Years

A 3+2 program offers you the opportunity to double major, obtaining a degree in Physics from UNCW in approximately three years, and an Electrical Engineering degree at NC State in the final two years of study. You will complete the NC State engineering transfer requirements while completing your UNCW major and University Studies requirements.

How Do I Apply to the 3+2 Program?

Students apply to UNCW as any student would, but it is best to indicate your interest in this program on your application for admission. Optimally, the program should be started in fall of the freshman year to stay on track for completion of the program in the five year window.

You will work with an expert advising team to help plan your course of study during your 3 years at UNCW. Transfer admission to NC State is not guaranteed; you will apply to the NC State College of Engineering as a transfer student during your junior year. From there, you will work with an engineering advisor to select courses based on your concentrations of interest.
