UNCW’s PhD General Clinical Psychology program provides education and training in psychological science and practice that will prepare individuals for licensure as doctoral level psychologists in health-service fields.
We embrace a scientist-practitioner model that aims to train entry-level doctoral psychologists who are committed to advancing the empirical base of health-focused psychology, to bridge gaps between psychological knowledge and practice, and to employ empirically-supported assessments and interventions.
