In conjunction with the exponential growth of the global marketplace, the demand for jobs in supply chain management continues to increase.

Global supply chain management and all its facets account for approximately 14% of the world's GDP. According to the Journal of Commerce, it is projected that there will be an astonishing 200,000 unfilled jobs in Global Supply Chain Management within the United States alone.

With an M.S. in Supply Chain Management, you can become a/an:

The Supply Chain Director ccreates functional strategies and specific objectives and develops budgets, policies and procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
A purchasing manager buys products for organizations to use or resell. They evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, review product quality, and often supervise purchasing agents and buyers. The purchasing manager may also act as the agent or buyer.
A production planner is a professional who oversees production in a manufacturing plant and helps plan for production needs. They work closely with managers, team members and company executives to identify the production needs of the business and help set quotas and other important metrics for production.
The role of an operations manager varies depending on the industry and the size of the organization. In a manufacturing company, an operations manager may be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring quality control and managing inventory. In a service-based company, they may be responsible for managing customer service, scheduling appointments and ensuring that service standards are met.
An Inventory Specialist, or Inventory Control Specialist, oversees the ordering, storing, receiving and distributing processes of an organization’s products and supplies. Their main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation.

Transcripts

  • One official transcript is required from each U.S. post-secondary institution attended. Refer to the Getting Started page for international transcript instructions.

Test Scores

  • GMAT or GRE Test Scores (no older than 5 years)*
    *Required if the candidate does not meet the minimum GPA requirement.  Each is equally accepted.
    WAIVED - Test scores are waived for this program during 2025 due to the pandemic. 
    No additional action required.  Test scores will be waived during application processing.

  4. Pre-Requisites: Completion of one course in statistics with a grade of at least "B"
  5. Bachelor's Degree: An "Introduction to Business" course similar to BUS 500 at UNCW is required for students who have not completed undergraduate or graduate coursework in a business discipline.  This course may be completed as part of the program.
  6. GPA:  Minimum overall cumulative bachelor's degree GPA of 3.0
  7. Differential Tuition: Differential tuition applies to this program.
