Digital Arts Minor

Our alumni work as:

Programmers/coders who create computer software or apps.

Work on the back end or the programming aspect of creating a website or web application.

The creative drivers responsible for bringing a VR experience or game to life; a cross between a writer, artist and programmer.

Combine text and pictures in advertisements, magazines or books.

Digitally generate three-dimensionally designed animated images, animations and motion graphics.

Design interactive products and services, including the way users will interact with them.

Digital art creation for museums and galleries as well as opportunities for graduate MFA programs in Digital Art and New Media.

Product and art production with emerging technology such as 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC milling and more.

Learn To

Synthesize and apply functional aesthetic and technical concepts

Understand new and evolving technologies for interactive media

Produce a portfolio demonstrating creative problem-solving in interactive narrative applications

Demonstrate proficiency in programming interactive and visual applications

The hands-on, project-based experiences of UNCW’s Studio & Digital Arts program allowed me to explore my interests and gain a breadth of knowledge and skills.
