Welcome to the Kappa Delta Pi Alpha Alpha Pi Chapter at UNCW. Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is dedicated to scholarship and excellence in education.
Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is dedicated to scholarship and excellence in education. Kappa Delta Pi elects those into membership who exhibit the ideals of scholarship, high personal standards, and promise in teaching.
Selection as a member of Kappa Delta Pi is based on high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career, and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession. At UNCW, students must have a 3.5 grade point average or higher, been admitted into the Watson College of Education, and have declared education as their major in order to be eligible as an undergraduate. Graduate students who have a 3.5 grade point average or higher, have completed at least six semester hours, have been accepted into the graduate school and are pursuing coursework in education are also eligible.
Members of Kappa Delta Pi are a part of an international network of the world's finest educators. Kappa Delta Pi has about 35,000 active members and 600 active chapters located in the United States and other countries.
