The Watson Ability Garden is a vibrant campus community learning space blooming at the Watson College of Education. Brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Transition Works! New Hanover County Schools' Transition Program for Young Adults, and the Watson College of Education. Students and faculty from both institutions work side-by-side as partners in teaching, learning, and exploration. Together, they cultivate essential workforce-ready skills for young adult students with intellectual disabilities and pre-service teachers.
The Watson Ability Garden extends a warm invitation to the entire campus community. Feel free to stroll through our fragrant pollinator garden, a serene escape designed to delight the senses. You can also bring the beauty of the garden directly to your office or home by subscribing to our convenient campus cut flower delivery service. Beyond enjoying the blooms, you can cultivate your well-being by attending one of our many planned garden site campus community classes and special events. From finding your inner peace with yoga and meditation in the blooms to learning how to arrange vibrant bouquets, the Watson Ability Garden is committed to sowing seeds of growth and enrichment for the entire UNCW community.
