Engineering is an exciting field and job opportunities are plentiful, even in an uncertain economy.
2+2 students will have access to the NC State ePack system, a terrific resource for finding career-related internships and entry-level engineering positions.
Although UNCW does not have a structured cooperative education program, students can consult the UNCW Career Center for local internship opportunities and can arrange internships on their own or by using the Program Director's contacts. 2+2 students are also encouraged to attend the annual NC State Engineering Career Fair, which is one of the largest career fairs in the country held specifically for engineering students.
Upon transfer to NC State, students should check out the NC State Cooperative Education (Co-op) Program. Want to be an entrepreneur? Consider involvement in the NC State Engineering Entrepreneurs Program. Engineers have some of the highest starting salaries of any college degree and companies consistently rank NC State as one of the top schools from which they recruit engineering graduates.
