Mentorship

October 2-6, 2023

Senior standing students in social work, public health, and clinical research: connect with industry mentors for virtual mentoring sessions.  
 
Social work, clinical research, and public health professionals: your guidance can contribute to a UNCW student’s career journey. Register for more information! 
 
Student Mentee participation involves: 

• Using the link to register and review the flyer 
• Attending the virtual mixer on October 3rd at 5:30 p.m. 
• Reviewing the list of MentorConnect Mentors
• Using the email template to reach out and schedule 45-minute, virtual mentoring sessions with MentorConnect mentors during the week of October 2nd 
• Filling out the evaluation and feedback forms 

Mentor participation involves:

• Using the link or QR code to register and review the  flyer
• Attending the virtual mixer on October 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
• Blocking 45-minute sessions on your calendar during the week of October 2nd to meet with students virtually to provide mentorship
• Filling out the evaluation and feedback forms

Applications are now open for the 2024 MentorCHHS Program for Social Work, Public Health, and Clinical Research!

Mentors and students will meet virtually at least once per month to work toward career goals set by the student from January 2023 – December 2024. Applications for the MentorCHHS program for the 2024 cycle are due Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

Student Mentees:

• Completing the application and orientation materials
• Participating in the Meet the Mentors Connect Week
• Actively communicating and engaging with your mentor

Mentors:

• Completing the application and orientation materials
• Participating in the Meet the Mentors Connect Week
• Being responsive to your mentee
