Help to create engaging, co-curricular activities for our Living Learning Communities (LLC) program. For one academic year, you'll work independently & collaboratively with other LLC Fellows, students RAs and our LC Manager and Specialist.
Our Goal
We're seeking faculty committed to engaging in co-curricular activities and assisting in the assessment of the Living Learning Communities (LLC) program. The Faculty Fellows will work directly with the LLC Manager and Specialist to raise LLC awareness and hold information meetings to attract faculty to participate in LLCs.
Who We Are
The Undergraduate Retention and Student Success unit within the office of Student Engagement Enrollment and Retention in partnership with Housing and Residence Life and High Impact Practices.

Application Process
The application process consists of an application and an interview. Application due by April 22.
Time Commitment
Each Faculty Fellow will serve for one academic year.
Qualifications
- Tenured or tenured-track Faculty
- Knowledge of LLCs, student retention and success best practices, and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion
- Participate in student focused activities and events during the evening and or on the weekends. Anticipate 3-4 nights and 2-3 weekend days per semester.
Projects
Fellows will work independently and collaboratively with other LLC Fellows, with the members (faculty, students, and RA’s) of their LLC, and the LLC Administrators. The Faculty Fellows duties and responsibilities include:
Programming:
- Organize, market & attend an end of year Symposium for all LLC Students
- Assist with the planning of and attend mid-semester LLC Retreat
- Attend the LLC Kickoff prior to FDOC
- Assist the LLC instructors with developing content/activities for breakout groups during kickoff event
- Design and implement additional programming 2x a semester within the assigned LLC Residence Halls.
- Schedule and hold “Pre-semester programing meeting” with instructors and RAs to design semester events/activities.
- Participate with LLC instructors and work with OSLE to engage with a service-learning project connected to course content or LLC theme
Administrative:
- Create Involvement syllabi which includes planned events and activities
- Send “Pre-semester programming” of planned events/activities report to LLC Manager
- Prepare a monthly report on LLC progress (attendance, student concerns, activities, events, evaluations/assessments, programming) to be given to LLC Manager and shared with LLC advisory board
Assessments:
- Engage with HIPs to contribute to the content of student engagement and campus awareness assessments for LLC
Funding
Fellows will receive a $4000 stipend paid monthly throughout the academic year. There will be one Fellow per Living Learning Community.
