Gifts made to The Vice Chancellor Pat Leonard Legacy of Excellence Fund will be recognized in honor of Vice Chancellor Pat Leonard's legacy. It was her wish for this fund to be created and for the Seahawk family, along with friends near and far, to support the university to which she dedicated her life.
The University of North Carolina Wilmington has raised more than $125 million as part of a multiyear fundraising campaign to support students, faculty, programs and facilities. Like No Other: The Campaign for UNCW seeks to enrich and expand on what makes the university one of a kind.
Gifts such as the one by Herbert and Sylvia Fisher have made it possible for the Division of Student Affairs to have an endowment to support programs for thousands of students for decades to come. More than 86 percent of all campaign gifts received thus far have been less than $250.
