Friends of UNCW

The Friends of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Inc. (“Friends of UNCW”) was organized on December 12, 1963. The purpose of this organization is to promote and support educational, scientific, and charitable projects on behalf of the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW); to cooperate with, advise, and extend financial aid to persons desiring to attend UNCW; and to collect gifts in carrying out the aforesaid purposes.

Friends of UNCW have been steadfast UNCW supporters since their founding in 1963. The organization's current contributions include supporting a merit scholarship, annually funding special projects based on proposals from UNCW faculty and staff, and contributing time and effort to events hosted by UNCW.
