Auxiliary Services Office

Policy Details:

1. Purpose.

   Explains vending services on the UNCW campus.

2. Scope.

   Applies to all university departments and activities.

3. Policy.

   1. General Statement.

      All vending services will be provided through the Auxiliary Services Office. Examples of products that may be vended are snacks, soft drinks, juice, and washers and dryers. Vending services are based on contracts negotiated by the Auxiliary Services Office on behalf of the university. The terms of the vending contracts prohibit university departments, agencies, and other firms from vending on campus.

   2. Vending Locations.

      The Auxiliary Services Office is responsible for determining the location of vending machines and the types of products to be vended. The present vending locations were selected on the basis of convenience and estimated sales. Vending locations may be changed or expanded as warranted.

   3. Repair Service.

      Machines in need of repair should be reported to the Auxiliary Services Office immediately.

   4. Refund Policy.

      Individuals who lose money in a campus vending machine should notify the Vending Services Office or the University Union Information Desk to obtain a refund. No refunds will be processed through campus mail.
