University policy relating to printed materials intended for on-campus mailings only.

Applies to all university departments, activities, and student organizations.
Policy
General Statement
The University of North Carolina at Wilmington shall actively seek to eliminate the use of unrecyclable papers for mailings by university departments, activities and student organizations, when such mailings are intended only for on-campus distribution.
Printing Services
Flyers, brochures, and letters intended for on-campus distribution will be printed on white or gray non-coated papers. Colored inks are acceptable. The words "THIS IS RECYCLABLE" will be printed across the bottom of all informational flyers and brochures intended for on-campus distribution only.
Containers
Designated recycling containers are located in proximity to the parcel locker areas and are intended for the proper disposal of recyclable materials by the university faculty, staff, and students.
Physical Plant
The University’s Recycling Department will collect recyclable refuse from all designated containers according to a predetermined schedule to ensure consistent and responsible waste management.
