Youth Programs



We provide paid experiential learning opportunities for UNCW students and other qualified candidates who are passionate about sharing their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm with the youth participating in our programs. Our staff serve as mentors and role models to children and teens who have chosen to attend UNCW youth programs because of their quality reputation.

Youth Programs:

Marketing & Communications Associate

Youth Programs is seeking to hire a full-time Marketing & Communications Associate.  Responsibilities for this position include handling participant registration process and customer service; creating marketing materials and working with appropriate vendors to promote programs; managing our website and social media pages including blogs and newsletters; maintaining photo galleries and participant databases, and more.

K-12 Engineering Associate

Youth Programs is seeking to hire a three-quarter time K-12 Engineering Associate to serve as one of the lead instructors for all youth engineering outreach programs.  Responsibilities for this position include developing engineering and computer programming lessons; assisting with the planning of program logistics; training student instructors & volunteers; maintaining Makerspace equipment, classrooms and storage units; collecting evaluation data, and more.

Each program has specific needs corresponding to the ages of the students and the content of the program. Please look over these job descriptions and identify which age/program/position best compliments your experience.
