UNCW Theatre is proud to launch our collaboration with the NCDF and the Wilmington Dance Cooperative to host this festival celebrating professional dance in North Carolina. The NC Dance Festival is an annual showcase of North Carolina dance artists that travels to five communities statewide – Charlotte, Raleigh, Boone, Wilmington, and Greensboro.

Code f.a.d. Company (f.a.d. is an acronym for film, art, dance) is a multimedia modern dance company based in Raleigh, NC. Founded in 2008 by choreographer and filmmaker Autumn Mist Belk, Code f.a.d. has performed across the United States in its first four seasons, including significant shows in New York, Washington, D.C., Houston, Seattle, and Birmingham, Alabama. www.codefadcompany.org/
Carol Kyles Finley - Her works for stage have been performed in many venues on the East Coast, in Ohio, and Seattle. Her works for camera have been screened in national and international festivals and can be seen on hulu.com's Dance For Camera channel. www.imhbvdance.com
John Gamble is a prolific choreographer, having created over seventy dance works, which have been performed throughout the United States, in Canada, and in Europe. His company, John Gamble Dance Theater (JGDT), includes dancers, musicians, and actors. John, along with Jan Van Dyke, co-founded the North Carolina Dance Festival in 1991.
Lauren Kearns is the artistic director of the kearns dance project. Kearns has choreographed over 47 concert pieces produced nationally and internationally, and has written scholarly articles on her research. Kearns received the 2008 NC Dance Alliance Choreography Fellowship for her artistic excellence.www.thekearnsdanceproject.org
Gaspard Louis was born and raised in Haiti. He performed, taught, and traveled worldwide with Pilobolus Dance Theater for ten years. He formed his own dance company, Gaspard&Dancers, in 2009, and is proud to have it based in Durham, North Carolina. Gary Taylor is Founder and Artistic Director of the Winston Salem Festival Ballet. Gary has choreographed original works for many ballet companies in the southeast and his versatility has led him to choreograph for over 20 different musicals. Ballet. www.winstonsalemfestivalballet.org/
Jan Van Dyke is director of the Van Dyke Dance Group and artistic director of the NC Dance Festival. She formerly directed a studio and company in Washington, D.C. for eight years, touring nationally with her company and as a solo artist. www.janvandykedance.org/
