Lifespan Wellness Component of new University Studies Program set to begin Fall 2011

After taking Physical Activity & Wellness (PED 101), you should be able to . . .

  1. Understand the multiple dimensions of wellness (i.e., spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical), the various factors affecting each dimension, and how the dimensions are interrelated.
  2. Develop a wellness plan that specifically addresses personal short-term health behavior needs and supports long-term multidimensional outcome-based goals.
  3. Identify the thoughts, attitudes, choices, and behaviors associated with lifelong health and wellness.
  4. Participate in safe and effective physical activities that contribute to national health guidelines.
  5. Practice health behaviors related to all dimensions of wellness.
