Grant Writing Assistance

Do you need some assistance with writing a grant proposal?

The UNCW SPARC office is excited to announce a new grant-writing assistance initiative to support faculty across campus with grant-writing activities.

Drs. Kristen DeVall and Christina Lanier, Sociology and Criminology, have partnered with SPARC to provide grant-writing assistance.  Drs. DeVall and Lanier have extensive experience writing grants and are experts in the field of program evaluation.

This initiative is divided into three tiers:

Tier 1: this is designed for faculty with a proposal ready for submission. Drs. DeVall and Lanier will review the proposal to ensure compliance with the funding agency’s requirements.

Tier 2: this is designed for faculty seeking assistance with a draft proposal that is not ready for submission. For proposals in this tier, Kristen and Christina can review, revise, and/or offer suggestions for the proposal.

Tier 3: this is designed for faculty having located/identified a request for proposal/funding, but who have not yet begun preparing a proposal for submission. Proposals in this tier will be written by faculty in conjunction with Drs. DeVall and Lanier. This tier will involve the highest level of assistance with the grant-writing process.

Please contact M.J. West, Grant Development Manager, in the Sponsored Programs and Research Compliance office at or 962-3809 if you are interested in this effort.
