The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Compliance is responsible for negotiating, accepting and overseeing all externally funded programs.

SPARC Grant Writing Bootcamp & Mentorship Program Seeking Applicants: Deadline Extended to July 14th

Purpose: The SPARC Grant Writing Bootcamp and Mentorship Program support(s) full-time tenured/ tenure-track faculty who are new to grant writing and wish to pursue extramural research or scholarly activities.  Faculty members from across the university and all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply for a full-day workshop focused on the following aspects of successful grant writing:

  1. Identifying & evaluating funding sources/sponsors
  2. Building your team: skills, expertise, roles and expectations
  3. Planning & writing the proposal
  4. Budgeting: Aligning research goals and resources
  5. Leveraging UNCW research support services

Selected faculty will attend a one-day workshop Friday, August 25th at the Holiday Inn Resort, Wrightsville Beach. Support of a faculty mentor will also be provided and encouraged.
