Melt the butter and then add the sugars to the butter. Mix the dry ingredients. Stir the vanilla and egg together. Add vanilla/egg mixture to butter/sugar mixture. Combine the dry ingredients and wet ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips.
Chill dough for 30 minutes and preheat oven to 375°F. Spoon dough onto ungreased cookie sheet (golf-ball-sized dough balls work well). Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool for 3-5 minutes, serve and enjoy!Adapted from Kids Cooking:
