Educators Say it’s Time to Move Beyond Test-Focused Policies

A policy memo titled “Reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act: Time to Move Beyond Test-Focused Policies,” was published by the National Education Policy Center (NEPC) on Feb. 12. More than 2,000 educational researchers, including faculty members from the Watson College, signed an open letter in support of the report. An opinion piece titled “Moving beyond test and punish,” co-authored by WCE professor Janna Robertson was published in The News & Observer on Feb. 4 and in the StarNews on Feb. 11.More
