Paige Zalman percussion
Paige Zalman (B.M., performance, instrumental/percussion)

In December 2015, Paige Zalman received the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Award for receiving top score during the Fall 2015 Department of Music Honors Recital auditions. Earlier it was announced that Zalman had won Wilmington Symphony Orchestra's Richard R. Deas Concerto Competition (collegiate category). Zalman will perform with WSO on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016. Zalman is a percussion student of Dr. John Rack.

Department of Music Honors Recital / Fall 2015

The Department of Music concludes the fall and spring semesters with Honors Recital, which features performances by outstanding vocal and instrumental students in the music department. Selected by audition, students performing on the Dec. 2 recital were: Paige Zalman, marimba; Megan Pressley, soprano; Jessica Small, alto saxophone; James Yates, Michael Miller, piccolo trumpet; Maurissa Zimmermann, clarinet; Alexander Moore, guitar; Daniel Paparozzi, tenor; David Walker, alto saxophone; Sallie Dunn, flute; Emily Wildenhaus, soprano; Chase Webb, alto saxophone; Nathan Strock, bass; Rhiannon Dewey, alto saxophone. Accompanist: Dr. Elizabeth Loparits, piano.
