Visitor Resources
Guest Wireless
The Network “seahawkguest” is used for guests and people who are not associated with the university. An example of an accepted user of this Network would be a person representing a vendor at a UNCW sponsored job fair. The "seahawkguest" Network does not have access to any UNCW resources.
This Network does not require a password and should automatically show up in the list of Networks on your device. Questions? Contact the Technology Assistance Center (TAC).
Guest Computers
Randall Library has five guest computers for visitors. Visit http://library.uncw.edu for more information.
Password to Access a University Computer
Any UNCW department sponsoring an individual that needs access to a university computer but is not associated with the university (visiting professor, guest lecturer, etc.) should fill out a request form (PDF) and deliver it to IT Security in Hoggard Hall 250 (by hand, via fax at 962-2486, or via email to TAC@uncw.edu). Please allow 5 business days to process.
Request Temporary Password for Personal Devices
Any UNCW department sponsoring individuals who are not associated with the university (i.e., vendors or contractors) may submit a request for a temporary password so that the visitor may access UNCW resources from their personal laptop or device. To do so, please e-mail the Technology Assistance Center at tac@uncw.edu with the following information:
- Visitor name
- Reason for internet access
- Date range for the password (start date and stop date)
