Mobile Device Security

Your mobile device should be guarded closely to prevent your information from being misused or stolen. When you replace a device with a new one or if your device is stolen, you should:

  • Wipe the information from the old or missing device.
  • Remove it from your list of mobile devices in Outlook Web Access (OWA).

Wipe All Data from Device

  1. Log into OWA.
  2. Click on Options (top right side of OWA window).
  3. Select Mobile Devices (from the list of Options on the left).
  4. Select the mobile device you want to wipe.
  5. Click "Wipe All Data" from device.
  6. Click "Yes" when asked to confirm.

Remove Device from List in OWA

  1. While still in Options for Mobile Devices, select the device you want to remove.
  2. Click "Remove Device" from List.
  3. Click "Yes" when asked to confirm.

Be sure to first wipe all data from the device before removing the device from your list. If you don't do it in this order, all the information on the device will remain on the device unless you are able to synchronize the device with the server again.
