Isaac Bear Early College Partnership Reception

On March 19, 2015, Isaac Bear welcomed university partners into its classrooms and halls to highlight student work, offer thanks for years of support, and celebrate the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Early College partnership on the campus of UNCW. Below are just a few of the pictures captured during the course of the afternoon.

Dr. Robert Smith, Watson College of Education professor, and Dr. Edel Segovia, Interim Associate Provost, review the work students have been doing on recent, Digital Portfolio projects and presentations.


Isaac Bear's principal, Mr. Philip Sutton, and Dr. Martin Posey, Vice Chancellor and Dean of Undergraduate Studies, discuss the decade-long evolution of the early college partership between New Hanover County Schools and the University of North Carolina Wilmington.


Dr. Diana Ashe, professor of English and Interim Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence and Faculty Leadership, learns students' preparations for the annual Science Fair and Science Olympiad competitions.

Isaac Bear senior, Gina Josan ('13), enrolled in COM 294, participated in a Departmenal Study Abroad, and traveled to Ireland during her spring break. Below are a few of the pictures she took to commemorate this life-changing experience.
