PHASED RETIREMENT PROGRAM OPEN ENROLLMENT
September 1, 2009 – November 25, 2009
The open enrollment period for tenured faculty who wish to enter the Phased Retirement Program (the “Program”) beginning in the 2010 - 2011 academic year is September 1, 2009 through November 25, 2009. Participants must attend a meeting in Human Resources and review enrollment materials by November 26, 2009.
The Program is available only to full-time tenured faculty members if, by August 1, 2010, they:
- Have at least five years of full-time service at UNCW;
- Are age 62 or older for members of the Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System (TSERS) or 59 ½ or older for participants in the Optional Retirement Program; and
- Are eligible to receive retirement benefits through either TSERS or the ORP, as applicable.
Interested faculty are strongly encouraged to attend an informational meeting on September 22th, from 2 - 3:30pm or September 30th, from 9:00 - 10:30am in the HR Training Room at 5051 New Centre Drive.
