Producer

Lainie Johnston served as a Producer on The Angel Doll, an independent, 35MM feature film, directed by her late husband, Sandy Johnston, a prolific and award-winning Wilmington filmmaker. Based on the best-selling book by North Carolina author, Jerry Bledsoe (Bitter Blood, A Gift of Angels), the film was made in Wilmington, and stars Keith Carradine, Pat Hingle and Nick Searcy. Among other screenings, The Angel Doll was recently selected to play at the inaugural Asheville Film Festival in November. In addition to helping complete her late husband’s “dream project,” Ms. Johnston has served as Producer, Co-Producer and Associate Producer on numerous features, documentaries, commercials and industrial films, and currently serves as President of Wild Bunch Films.
