The Weinstein Company is an independently owned film studio by Harvey and Bob Weinstein in 2005 after the pair left the Disney-owned Miramax which they had co-founded in 1979. Miramax was originally created in order to distribute independent films, which they deemed commercially unfeasible by the major studios. The brother produced such films as Pulp Fiction, The Crying Game, Shakespeare in Love, and Fahrenheit 9/11.
Duties may include researching projects, script coverage, shuttle deliveries to and from the two New York offices, as well as general departmental administration support. This internship is primarily working for the acquisitions and production departments, however often times the intern will be required to help out in other departments.
