Be a Shutterbug! Please help us capture candid photos throughout Employee Appreciation.

Here’s how:

Take a photo with your smartphone and email it to eventsrsvp@uncw.edu.

Then look for your photos to appear in the slideshow at the luncheon on Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the Burney Center. Please help us document our UNCW family during the week!

Dear UNCW Colleagues,

I am very pleased to announce that UNCW is expanding its Employee Appreciation program from a week-long series of events into a year-long celebration of you and your involvement in the life of UNCW. I hope you will mark your calendars now for the Alumni Employee Breakfast on Sept. 6, the Night Shift Breakfast on Oct. 2, and the All Employee Breakfast on Oct. 31. These are the first of many activities I hope you will enjoy in the year ahead.

Planning for several other events is underway, and the university needs volunteers to develop an Employee Appreciation theme around UNCW’s deep commitment to the journey of learning. I invite you to collaborate with other colleagues to develop a creative theme for our 2013-2014 Employee Appreciation program. To volunteer, please contact Elizabeth Overton by August 27, 2013.

As we begin another exciting year at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, let me thank you for the expertise and dedication you bring to our campus each day. Your focus on our students, and your commitment to our mission and values, make UNCW one of our nation’s best universities, and I am honored to serve as Chancellor with faculty and staff like you.

Sincerely yours,

Chancellor Gary L. Miller
