Summer GX Classes will begin on Monday, May 20th. There will be no classes on Monday, May 27. The last day of Summer I GX classes will be Wednesday, June 19. Summer II GX Classes will begin on Wednesday, June 26th.

Campus Recreation offers an ACE GFI Course to prepare you to become a certified Group X Instructor. The next session will be offered in Fall 2013.

Group Exercise
Group Exercise is a great way to get involved in Campus Recreation. Nationally certified instructors create a safe, effective, and fun exercise environment. Classes are designed to accommodate all fitness levels. GX Classes are scheduled throughout the day and feature an array of popular workout formats. From Core to Zumba and everything in between, we truly do have something for everyone!

Group Exercise Class Policies
- Participants 16 years and older may use Group Exercise.
- Appropriate group exercise clothing and footwear is required. Street clothes such as jeans, khakis, dress pants, or anything with zippers, buttons, or belts are prohibited.
- No gum, food, or beverages are allowed, except for water in a sealable plastic container (32 oz. or less).
- For safety, Participants will not be admitted into class after the warm up has been completed. To ensure a pleasant experience for all participants, once a yoga class has begun no one will be admitted. Please arrive early.
- In order to ensure the safety of participants, class size is limited depending on class type and equipment used.
- Only authorized Seahawk Fitness Team Members are trained to use the audiovisual system in the studios.
- Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please secure your personal belongings in a locker prior to exercising.
- Participants are encouraged to regularly monitor their own workout intensity and take water breaks frequently.
Cycling Studio Policies
- Water bottles and towels are recommended for cycling classes.
- Cycling classes are limited to 21 participants using the Keiser M3+ Cycles.
- Keiser M3+ Cycles come with SPD cycling shoe clips. Cycling shoes are not provided but you may use your own.
- To offer ADA compliance, two additional Matrix Krank (arm ergometers) Cycles are also available. Please see the instructor to set up the Krank Cycles.
- Wipe down bikes after use.
- If you are a first time participant please arrive early and ask the instructor for assistance in setting up your cycle.
The Department of Campus Recreation reserves the right to cancel or change the class the schedule at any time based on class participation. Hours may vary during holidays, breaks, exams, and summer sessions. The instructor reserves the right to ask a participant to leave if policies are not followed.
