Seahawk Fitness provides structured and non-structured programs and a quality facility with a diverse selection of equipment to cultivate a positive social atmosphere and exercise experience that enhances the UNCW community's overall holistic wellbeing.

Train to be a Trainer and Fitness Instructor Training Fall 2016

Seahawk Fitness hosts preparation courses for the American Council on Exercise Personal Training and Group Fitness Instructor exams as a stand-alone, non-credit course. This prep course can be used solely to prepare for the certification exams or as a method of application for the Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor positions with Seahawk Fitness. The course costs $170.00 and includes a copy of the manual, a practice exam, and discount code. This course also includes a CPR/First Aid certification through the American Red Cross.

Interest Meetings (all will be held in Student Recreation Center, room 161)

Thursday, August 25th 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, August 28th 2:00 p.m.

Monday, August 29th 5:00 p.m.

Registration for these courses will begin on August 26th and close September 2nd at 4:00pm. Registration can be completed in the main office of the Student Recreation Center, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. beginning August 17th.

Fall 2016 Train to be a Trainer Course Dates:
Wednesday September 7th - Wednesday November 20th
Monday & Wednesday 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Fall 2016 Group Fitness Instructor Training Course Dates:
Tuesday September 6th - Thursday December 1st
Tuesday & Thursday 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
