Motor Fleet Leasing

The motor fleet office is located in the Warwick Center (Riegel Road entrance) in the Auxiliary Services office, Phone 910-962-3591.

Vehicles may be rented by any employee for use while on official University business:

• Conference travel
• Business trips
• Lab field trips, etc.

Tentative motor fleet reservations may be made by telephone (910-962-3591). To confirm the reservations for permanent employees, the E-Travel request form must be completed. To confirm reservations for students and temporary employees, the Vehicle Request and Invoice Form (CD-0027) must be submitted.

All permanent employees must possess a valid North Carolina drivers license and have a copy on file with the Motor Fleet Office prior to the date of travel. Student employees may possess licenses from other states.

Rates

Effective July 1, 2005, motor fleet rental rates are as follows:

• Sedans cost $.39 per mile with a minimum 40 miles per trip
.
• Minivans cost .$44 per mile with a minimum 40 miles per trip.
• 15-Passenger vans cost $.53 per mile with a minimum 40 miles per trip.
