Ecotone Named Finalist for Community of Literary Magazines and Presses Firecracker Awards

Ecotone, our literary magazine dedicated to reimagining place, is a finalist in this year’s Community of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) Firecracker Awards for Independently and Self-Published Literature. Recognized in the category of “Magazines—General Excellence,” Ecotone is nominated among ten other distinguished literary magazines including Poetry, the New England Review and One Story. This award series celebrates noteworthy contributions to literary culture, as well as the aim to introduce important new voices to readers.

“We’re delighted to receive this recognition from CLMP,” says Ecotone editor and professor Anna Lena Phillips Bell. “Ecotone is among the few finalists whose mastheads include graduate students doing high-level editorial work. Our MFA students in creative writing who edit and design for the magazine share in this honor.”

The 2018 CLMP Firecracker Awards will be presented on June 7 in New York City.
