Biography

Jason Mott is the author of two poetry collections and three novels. His debut novel, The Returned, was optioned by actor Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B, as a television series and premiered on the ABC network in 2014 under the title Resurrection (2 seasons). His second novel, The Wonder of All Things has been optioned by Lionsgate Films for film and will be adapted and directed by Cheryl Dunye.
 
Jason lives in southeastern North Carolina. He has a BFA in fiction and an MFA in poetry, both from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. His poetry and fiction have appeared in various journals including Prick of the Spindle, the Thomas Wolfe Review, The Kakalak Anthology of Carolina Poets, Measure, and Chautauqua. He was nominated for a 2009 Pushcart Prize award, and Entertainment Weekly listed him as one of ten "New Hollywood: Next Wave" people to watch.
