Refunds
Per the Family Weekend Refund Policy, we are unable to grant refunds for most of our ticketed events. However, refunds WILL be offered for the events below:
- Canceled Kayak to Shark's Tooth Island (Friday)
- Canceled Stand Up Paddleboarding at Banks Channel (Saturday)
- Sightseeing and Sunset Tour on the Cape Fear Riverboat (Saturday)
- Brunch at the Shore Dining Hall (Sunday)
If you did not check in for Family Weekend, you will be given the opportunity to request a refund for the above events. The refund request form will open on October 10 and will close on October 20 at 11:45 p.m.

Packet and T-Shirt Pick-Up Times
Please have your student stop by the Office of Transition Programs to pick up your packet and any pre-ordered t-shirts by October 21 or items will be forfeited.
If items cannot be picked up before then, please email our office at transitions@uncw.edu to let us know.

Redeeming Family Weekend Tickets
We have worked with our Family Weekend vendors to offer families an extended time period to use your tickets for the remaining events. Please see below for the details on when and how to redeem any tickets purchased for Family Weekend.
- Airlie Gardens: Tickets are valid through September 30, 2023. The ticket(s) are only good for general garden admission and cannot be used for special events or programs such as Enchanted Airlie or summer concerts.
- Battleship NC: Tickets can be used for general admission entry through October 2023. Please check the Battleship NC Facebook page prior to visiting to confirm their operating hours.
- Cameron Art Museum: Tickets are good from September 30, 2022- December 31, 2023. Families must take their UNCW ticket(s) to the visitor center to be exchanged for an entry sticker. Advance reservations not required.
- Crossfire Games (Axe Throwing, Paintball, NerfWars): Tickets can be used for the same experience through September 30, 2023. Please call ahead to make a reservation.
- Exit Games: Ticket(s) will be honored through September 30, 2023. Please call ahead to make a reservation.
- Fort Fisher Aquarium: Tickets are valid through September 30, 2023. You must call and book a timed entry reservation prior to visiting.
- Ghost Walk of Old Wilmington: Friday ticketholders who were unable to attend the rescheduled tour and Saturday ticketholders who did NOT check in for Family Weekend are eligible to use their tickets at a later date. Tickets can be redeemed from November 1, 2022 through May 1, 2023. Please call ahead to confirm availability. Visit the Ghost Walk website for contact information and hours of operation.
