Freshmen and Transfer Students

Freshman (First-Year Students)

Incoming freshmen who wish to begin classes at UNCW in the summer, must send an email to Office Of Admissions, requesting that their application be "backdated to Summer II." Freshman may attend Summer II ONLY and also MUST attend a June orientation session.

Transfer Students

Begin by reviewing the transfer student information provided by UNCW Admissions. Transfer students electing to begin classes during Summer I MUST attend a May orientation session; to begin classes during Summer II, MUST attend a June orientation session.Orientation is required for all incoming students with the intent of acquainting students with academic requirements and campus services.

Office of Transition Programs (Orientation)

The Office of Transition Programs offers a variety of programs and services to assist students and parents through the many changes and transitions they will face at UNCW, beginning with new student orientation through graduation. We hope to be a helpful resource to you and your student.
