McCall with husbandCongratulations to CLR assistant professor Jennifer McCall for being named the winner in the Business category of the 2017 “Wilma Women to Watch.” McCall is CEO of the startup company SeaTox Research, Inc., which develops diagnostic kits to detect toxins in seafood that can contaminate the food supply and harm those who eat shellfish. McCall came to UNCW as a postdoctoral researcher and earned her MBA in the business of biotechnology.
