Update on the Graduate Programs

DNP Program

Nineteen Doctor of Nursing Practice students continue to do “stellar work, both academically and within their communities,” according to DNP program coordinator Linda Pugh. Among several student projects are an examination of attitudes among inter-professional partners regarding palliative care and providing education relating to it; reducing sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies within a university setting; and improvement of cost containment, quality, safety and satisfaction levels within practice areas of pediatrics, outpatient clinics, a community mental health clinic and an orthopedic hospital surgical suite.
