Dr. Bullers' professional interests include research methods, data collection and analysis, social and environmental determinants of health, sociology of food, alcohol use, and gender. Dr. Bullers completed her BA and MA at CU Denver, her Ph.D. at SUNY Buffalo and she came to UNCW in 1995 from a post doc at the Research Institute on Addictions in Buffalo NY, where she studied new statistical techniques. In addition to teaching and conducting research at UNCW she served as the Director of the Women's Studies and Resource Center, developed a study abroad program in India with colleague Dr. Paige Tan and received a Fulbright-Hays scholarship for work in Chile. She is currently testing a research method to collect case-control data on environmental and behavioral risk factors for breast cancer.

RESEARCH
Dr. Susan Bullers - is currently developing and testing a new data collection method for social, environmental and behavioral determinants of breast cancer. This project is supported by a 2014 UNCW Faculty Research Reassignment Award and a 2014 UNCW Summer Research Initiative Award.
