Newly Admitted Students

Information to Get You Going!

  1. Set up your UNCW email and log in to MySeaport. You'll find information about your UNCW login credentials in your UNCW acceptance letter.
  2. Access your TealTicket through your MySeaport account. The TealTicket lists necessary action items. Not all items will apply to your situation.
  3. Pay the $100 non-refundable enrollment deposit in MySeaport. This deposit holds your place in the upcoming class. You will not be able to register for orientation until the deposit is processed, and you will not be able to register for classes until you have completed orientation. This deposit is not covered, either up front or by reimbursement, by the Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Montgomery GI Bill, Dependents Education Assistance, the Fry Scholarship, Tuition Assistance (TA), or military college or commissioning programs.
  4. Send updated transcripts if you are currently enrolled in another institution.
  5. Register for the mandatory Transfer Student Orientation or First-Year Student Orientation and pay the $100 orientation fee (RIBN and RN-BSN programs do not require orientation).& This fee is not covered, either up front or by reimbursement, by the Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Montgomery GI Bill, Dependents Education Assistance, the Fry Scholarship, Tuition Assistance (TA), or military degree completion or commissioning programs.
  6. Complete your Degree Audit. Note that recently completed coursework may not yet appear and that transfer credits may be reallocated when you meet with your advisor.
  7. Submit your Immunizations and Medical History form (online students do not need to complete this step). Contact us or call 910.962.3280 with questions.
  8. Complete the Health Insurance information by enrolling in or waiving out of the student healthcare plan. For access to TriCare proof of insurance visit milConnect.
  9. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and/or the Summer FAFSA. You may be eligible for grants.
  10. Submit a photo for your UNCW OneCard (campus ID card) so that you can pick it up the morning of orientation.&

Parking

  • Students must pay for parking permits to park on campus at UNCW. Learn more about parking permit options and pricing.
  • Veterans and active military members are eligible for a $20 discount on their parking permit.

UNCW Bookstore

The UNCW Bookstore sells UNCW gear as well as textbooks and course materials.

All students are encouraged to apply for scholarships.

Students who are using the North Carolina Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (NCDMVA) scholarship may contact our Third Party Billing office for assistance.

Students should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for fall/spring and an additional FAFSA for the summer term, if taking classes during the summer.

UNCW offers a military-affiliated student payment plan, which allows the bill to be divided into 3 payments over the course of the fall or spring semester. Select the payment plan as a payment option in your eBill.
