Project Scope
UNCW is seeking qualifications for a lead designer to provide planning and project leadership for an update to the University’s comprehensive physical master plan for all of UNCW’s campuses.
Project Description
The Campus Master Plan will align with the Strategic Plan, anticipated to be completed in 2022, and will springboard from the 2018 Campus Master Plan update.
The master plan will include an update on future development including:
- Buildings and open spaces
- A thorough review and update of the University’s infrastructure and utilities
- A space needs analysis and summary
Circulation and transportation will also be reviewed, including:
- Paths
- Streets
- Parking
- Transit systems
Sustainability will be an important factor in this master plan update. Additionally, the Master Plan team will examine Facility Condition Assessment Program (FCAP) information for existing facilities and identify repair and renovation and deferred maintenance needs, as well as infrastructure and building resiliency.
