Among our diverse teams, spanning Overwatch, Rocket League, League of Legends, Valorant, Smash, Halo, Cod, and Apex Legends, we foster an atmosphere of camaraderie and support. Intramural Game Nights 

Bi-weekly, the UNCW Esports Club orchestrates engaging game nights in its Esports lab, offering a diverse array of video games and tabletop experiences. All UNCW students are enthusiastically invited to join these events. For the latest updates on dates and times, refer to our Discord announcements.

Intercollegiate Competition

In the Fall of 2023, UNCW proudly hosted its inaugural intercollegiate tournament, setting the stage for many more to come. The event featured participation from 10 colleges in an exhilarating Rocket League tournament, with plans to expand the gaming repertoire in subsequent tournaments. Witness the expertise of our students who not only organized and managed the tournament but also showcased their broadcasting skills. GameCon 

An annual highlight in southeastern N.C.'s gaming calendar, GameCon is a colossal gaming extravaganza held every spring semester. This grand event encompasses video game tournaments featuring popular titles like Smash and Rocket League, tabletop competitions, Magic: The Gathering tournaments, a marketplace with vendors offering cards, art, and more. Attendees can also revel in a captivating cosplay competition. The magnitude of GameCon is matched only by the fact that it is entirely free to attend, making it an unmissable experience for the entire gaming community in the region.
