The Seahawk Esports club is an all-inclusive organization that welcomes individuals from various backgrounds to foster a community that shares a common passion: video games.
About Our Club
We aim to create teams that compete competitively and host game nights for everyone to enjoy. However, we mainly aspire to help establish lasting relationships among club members.
The Esports club has grown significantly over the last year. The club started as just a few people that enjoyed video games in 2019, but now it is home to almost 500 members and 7 competitive teams.
A few of these teams are Overwatch, Rocket League and League of Legends. Within our Discord, we are active and always talking with each other. We are a close-knit community of supportive gamers.
We'd love to have you join the Esports family at UNCW. We hold weekly meetings that you are more than welcome to come and observe. You can join our Discord and mingle among your peers until you are comfortable! We look forward to hopefully seeing you in the future.
Current state of the Esports club @ UNCW:
We have 7 competitive teams competing in state and national tournaments against other universities
Current games include League of Legends, Call of Duty, Smash, Rocket League, Overwatch, Halo and Valorant
We are always looking to add more games!
We have a club and Discord server with over 500 members
We have game nights every Friday during the semester
We have large intramural tournaments for UNCW students and the community throughout the semester
