Zhuan Ye

Dr. Zhuan Ye is a professor of mathematics at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Purdue University West Lafayette. His research focuses on complex analysis in one and several complex variables, with particular interests in Nevanlinna theory, differential equations, partial differential equations, dynamical systems, and related areas.
Dr. Ye has published research articles as a sole author in several leading mathematical journals, including Inventiones Mathematicae, Journal of Differential Equations, Duke Mathematical Journal, and Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, to list a few. He has also published and collaborated with researchers and graduate students from various institutions and, together with Dr. W. Cherry coauthored a monograph published by Springer.
Dr. Ye supervised three Ph.D. students before joining UNCW and numerous master’s theses. He is dedicated to teaching and strives to create a friendly and supportive learning environment both inside and outside the classroom while maintaining high academic standards.
