Christine M. Willingham

Assistant Professor

Christine M. Willingham, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies. Dr. Willingham teaches courses in integrated marketing communication. Her research interests include the role of ideographs and values in branding and in rhetoric about abortion. Dr. Willingham served on the Gender-Based Harassment and Violence Elimination Task Force at Frostburg State University from 2016 - 2018 and as the Interim Coordinator for the Leadership Studies Minor in 2015. In 2010, she participated in the Practicum in Advocacy at the Commission on the Status of Women Meetings, United Nations, sponsored by the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. Dr. Willingham earned her MA in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL and Ph.D. in Communication from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Additionally, she earned the BA in Psychology from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD. Dr. Willingham has over two decades of professional experience in sales, marketing, and public relations.
