Gregory L. Williams

Lecturer

Dr. Greg Williams is a Lecturer of Coastal Engineering. His primary areas of focus are teaching in the Coastal Engineering Program. He teaches EGN 201 - Engineering Statics, EGN 220 - Engineering Graphics, EGN 301 - Mechanics of Solids, EGN - 400 Fundamentals of Engineering Review, EGN 402 - Dredging and Beach Nourishment and EGN 495 - Engineering Capstone. Dr. Williams is also conducting research on dredging engineering education and is an active member of Western Dredging Assocation (WEDA), American Shore & Beach Preservation Assocation (ASBPA), and The Oughtred Society (preservation of slide rules and mechanical measuring devices). Prior to joining the Coastal Engineering faculty at UNCW, he worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Wilmington District, Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, MS and Philadelphia District.
